Tasmania’s Workers’ Commemorative Park honours those workers who did not make it home and calls on us all to build safer workplaces.
The Workers’ Commemorative Park began with the Hudson family’s vision to honour their son Matthew, and all Tasmanians lost to workplace tragedy. After years of advocacy by Unions Tasmania and the Hudson’s, the park was completed in 2025 with funding contributions from Tasmanian unions, the Federal Government, the State Government, and the Launceston City Council.
